If you really want to do it in style then you can combine all of the above with a trip of a life time, or a cruise, to your favourite romantic destination, where you get to dress up and perhaps get the captain of the ship to announce your engagement.

If your girl is a sporty type then maybe you could get your engagement announced on the big screen at your favourite baseball, soccer, hockey match.
